Kim Turner, LLC ("KTLLC," "we," "us," or "our") is a California-based, POST-certified public safety training and curriculum development firm specializing in 9-1-1 communications and emergency dispatch. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you register for courses, access our customer portal, or interact with our website and training platforms.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information when you register for a course or create a customer portal account: full name, email address, agency or organization name and affiliation, job title and role, business phone number (if provided), mailing address (if provided), course enrollment and completion records, assessment scores and certificates earned, and payment and billing information (for paid courses). We may also collect technical information automatically when you access our training platforms, including browser type, device information, IP address, and pages visited.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process registrations, process payments and issue invoices, deliver course content and track completion, issue certificates of completion and POST credit documentation, communicate course updates and training opportunities, fulfill contractual obligations to client agencies, and improve our courses and training platforms. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never monetize your data.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information only under limited circumstances: with our training management system provider (Arlo) to facilitate course delivery and portal access, with payment processors to complete financial transactions securely, with California POST or other credentialing bodies to submit continuing education records when required, with client agencies that have contracted training on behalf of their personnel (limited to enrollment and completion data for their employees), and when required by law, regulation, or legal process. All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. While no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we take the protection of your information seriously and continually review our security practices.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to maintain accurate training records, meet contractual and credentialing requirements, and comply with legal obligations. Course completion records are retained indefinitely to support certificate verification, POST credit documentation, and continuing education records. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information and account, opt out of non-essential communications at any time, and update your information through the customer portal or by contacting us directly. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our courses and services are designed for adult public safety professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
