Homegrown Violent Extremism
Designed for all members of public safety to have a basic understanding of homegrown violent extremism. All class times listed are Pacific (California) time.
Description
This course is designed for public safety dispatchers or those assigned to communications to have a basic understanding of the history of violent domestic extremism, why it’s a growing movement, and to recognize common tactics used when they are in contact with law enforcement.
Under the instruction provided by a qualified instructor(s) each student will acheive the following learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate their understanding of domestic extremists’ groups.
- Understand the overlapping of domestic extremist groups and anti-government groups.
- Understanding the role dispatch plays in enhancing a positive outcome to the response.
Prerequisites
Current members of public safety - public safety dispatchers, telecommunicators,call-takers, police officers, fire and ems.
