The primary goals of this course are to familiarize 9-1-1 first responders and public safety employees with the courtroom process and the appropriate demeanor for witnesses. All class times listed are Pacific (California) time.
As the first of the first responders, Public Safety Dispatchers and non-sworn personnel are becoming increasingly required to testify in court. The primary goals of this course are to familiarize dispatchers with the courtroom process and the appropriate demeanor for witnesses. This course does not address local procedures or specific jurisdictional practice but rather offers a broad overview of courtroom procedures.
Under the instruction provided by a qualified instructor(s) each student will acheive the following learning outcomes:
Certified in California and Michigan.
Current public safety employees including dispatchers, records, crime analysis, etc.
